| Is it just me or does Sr. Look like his aids are flaring up?? |
| That and his ass is still showing. That guy will never win father of the year. And now I remember why I never liked Jesse James, he is like a 10yr old brat with no filter, what the hell did Sandra Bullock see in him. That bike Jr built was bad ass. Jesse;s bike was cool too but it was just too much like every other chopper out there, nothing to make it standout. If you put Jesse's bike in any show with a bunch of other bikes it would look like all the others. quote ( I built everything on that bike by hand ) not !!!!!! |

Yeah because they obviously do not build bikes. Jesse James is good at building bikes, but lets give credit where it is due. Jr. is a great bike builder also. I don't think Jesse could build the bikes that Jr. does but I know that Jr. can build the bikes Jesse does. Quoted: Jesse James has forgot more about bike building than those other two idiots will ever know about it. |
| Jesse acts like he is the only guy out there that can build everything by hand, truth is there's alot of people out there that can do all that same work they just don't get to do it on TV. He has studied under alot of other craftsman to learn alot of his craft but he acts like he invented those techniques. |

You have give credit where credit is due. Each of them is an entertainer in their own right. They each build for their own audience. Jesse James builds bikes for other bike builders and himself. He has awesome skills, but to the average observer like me, you can go to 100's of bike shows across the US, and see 1000's of the exact same bike he made for this build off. Yeah he made the frame from scratch, and may/may not have great fit/finish, but to the "Joe" on the street, it just looks good. The Teutals, build bikes for the masses. They may not even be rideable! That doesn't matter to the masses, they just like how they look. As someone said earlier, their fit/finish may be questionable, but the people observing from TV and from behind velvet ropes, would never know this. It probably wouldn't matter to them any way.

| I would say that Jr is a bike designer not a builder. I ride so I have watched the program for years. I have never seen Jr work on any of the fabrication work. He would not know how to build his own gas tank fenders etc. As we all saw the only frame built by the builders themselves was Jesse, the others had someone else do the frames. If Jesse James is going to stay in the business he needs to get current with new styles that are both show stoppers but also something you can take for an all day ride. Jr. build had less than a 1 gallon tank, you would be filling your tank every 30 miles. |

I went to the new OCC location last year while we we in NY visiting Westpoint. They have pretty much all their bikes on display in the show room. I can say from what I remember the fit and finish looked pretty good. OCC and Jesse James both built semi-custom production bikes as their bread and butter and the OCC theme bikes and Jesse's hand built all custom bikes were just for TV show filming and a few select customers. Remember the West Coast Choppers show Jesse was using someone elses frames, off the shelf forks and tanks and had a crew of other guys building the bikes just like OCC does.
No matter who you think is better or what your opinion is of what they build you have to admit that they brought bikes and bike building right into our living rooms and alot of people probably bought bikes cause of it. I don't remember anywhere around that sold choppers before the TV shows. How many had ever seen a TIG welder or an english wheel before TV started documenting these builders. |
