In order of 1-2-3 , what new stripped lower would you buy and why purchase your #1 choice

I have now seen so many out there, just curious what would rank #1 –– and does not have to be Colt , since their lowers are almost impossible to get, let alone the double cost

And does quality make a difference over cheap price ??

Spikes lowers are cheap. Palmetto State Armory has some cheap to. That how I shop for mine.

Spikes, PSA, EA

No particular order, just depends on what I can find when I am looking...

Edit: I have a EA lower on one of my guns, I don't know if its the lower or the gun as a whole, but its one of my favorites by far.

I want a slab side to go with my old SP1 upper but they are still too expensive.
For a generic, build your own kit I like  'em cheap.

Larue, Noveske, Mega, Spikes, PSA, Surplus Arms...
I know its a bit pricy, but I like the fit and finish of my Larue Upers, lowers and handguard/rails as well as their customer service and reputation for making good product....

Before others rant about it being too much and they can build the same thing for less...

Thats fine, thats why there is such a huge market of different lowers and assorted parts; Theres pretty much somethig for everyone...

Brand is unimportant to me.  DPMS, CMMG, Superior, LaRue, EA (early cast), Stag, Bushmaster, NDS, etc.
Whatever is affordable and in-spec.  Which leaves out my Sharp's Mil Spec receiver.

You are correct.  Sharps is anything but mil-spec

Having built one on a R-Guns lower & hind sight being 20/20, I should've paid the extra $25 to $50 for a recognizable brand name.
Nothing wrong with the lower.

Essential Arms forged stripped lowers, I bought four of them for $88 apiece. Great price and very nice lowers, I highly recommend.

1.  LaRue

2.  Rock River

3.  Stag

The LaRue for obvious reasons as to my extracirricular activities, and the fact that they make probably the best billet lower out there.  I like my rifles to fit snug.

The other two have to do with a more affordable option, but that I know are spec when it comes to building patrol rifles.  Being in law enforcement, there are rules that we have to abide by, such as matching upper and lowers from reputable manufacturers.  Guys I deal with tend towards these brands as they will be accepted rather than questioned.

What I simply desire in a stripped lower is no stripes....
Wait what?

Really though , I don't care about the Roll mark, it doesn't matter.
I like the PLAIN ones as I can customize them as I wish.

Don't CARE about Billet, it does NOTHING for you.

What I DO care about are that the pins fit and don't need to be hammered in and don't FALL in.
Standard LPG fits and works, and any and all uppers fit and function.

Past that it is a crap shoot, decent fit and finish. is nice.

The McKay that I spoke of earlier is also available in FDE.

Kujoe,
Tell the gang in Tejas to make an OBR and OBR lite available in FDE... SOON...

I got a good deal on a used Stag receiver because the owner thought it wasn't as tacticool as the logo on a Noveske receiver.

My gain!
