Hey all!
So does anyone hear use police scanners much? I am thinking of picking one up, but don't know a whole lot about them. My older brother used to have one when we was a fire explorer, but it's pretty old now and it wont pick up police or emergency frequencies anymore. He still uses it for NASCAR when he goes to races, which is kinda cool. Anyway, I guess my questions are: What is a good name for scanners these days. What would I be looking for use in the St. Louis area, ie, digital, analog, etc. Are there particular frequency ranges that I would want to make sure the scanner I buy would have for the area, or is any new scanner generally good.
