Had a lady slide into a curb and blow a tire. All the wreckers are busy and she didn't know how to change it(lady about 60). I grab the jack and get to work, and I am flying faster than Jeff Gordon's pit crew after they were given to jimmy Johnson. Jacked up flat removed, throw the spare to the hub.......damn thing won't fit. This is when she tells me the spare is from her daughters car but it's the same sized tire so it has to fit I told her it didn't and I don't think she believed me. Waiting on a wrecker now

| Not to be Mr. anti-good samaritan, but these days you really put yourself, your family, and your livelyhood at risk when you try to help a stranger. I've seen is many times where someone does a good deed like helping a stranded motorist only for the stranded person to later sue the good samaritan for "damage to their car" that was already there or damage/accidents when the dumbass hit something then tries to pin it on the person who helped them. Really sad times but you gotta remember as our good buddy Forrest used to say stupid is as stupid does. |
| Only once in my life did I change someone else's flat tire. Two older women in a car. I put on their mini donut tire and told them that this tire is rated for no faster than 50 MPH and should be removed and have a regular tire put in its place before they go 50 miles on it. Said so, right on the tire and I wanted her to understand that she has limitations on the spare tire. But that was back in say about 85. Would I do it today. I dont think so, but again I might. See here in MO, about 99% of the time the good Samaritan law protects the good guy. Just as long as he acts like what 90% of the people would do in a given situation. But this does not mean that they can't try to sue you and you have to cough up the money to get a good lawyer to make sure you stay out of the slammer. |

Quoted:
last tire I changed was for a stranded Kansas City Chief's CHEERLEADER –– she called 2 friends but they were too busy at Ameristar to come help. Well, anyway, got a signed autographed picture. Pics or BS.... You know the rules... Just of the Cheer Chick, not you...

It is too bad that people forget how to drive in the first (2nd, 3rd. 4th oh you get the picture) snow.
On the way to church this morning we were stopped by a young lady who barreled out the apartment complex drive (on AB for SCPD's sake) and curved herself right into the opposite ditch. Fortunately she had help pushing her out. |

On Thurs. I stopped for a couple of younger guys , they didn't have the correct size lug wrench. I was in a hurry so I left my 4-way with them , told them where to leave it when they were done, I'd pick it up on my way back.
Drove about 1/2 mile , a van was in the ditch ,guy walking down the road , He was outa gas , gave him a ride to station , told him I was going back in a few min. , if he could be ready I'd give him a ride back. He was , dropped him off, met the guys with the flat , picked up way 4-way ,everybody's happy |

It has been a while since I have helped someone with a flat. However, I am not worried about being sued for helping, Missouri or otherwise. Buy a (True) Umbrella 1,000,000 min liability policy. Like having an attorney on retainer. Almost free with the discounts on my homeowners and auto policy.
If you carry a gun or have teenagers, you should have at least a $1 million umbrella. |

It really says something about the state of our society when good people won't do the right thing because of the risk of civil liability.
Frankly I say screw it, if someone needs help and I am able to help them, I will do it. If they later sue me for doing the right thing they that is something I am prepared for also. |

Very nice! I used to work for a Chiefs Cheerleader, "Holly" was her name. And her friend "Christina" There was a girl named Kimberly who worked in the building I did downtown she was an investigator for an insurance company. All of them were very pretty young ladies, and damned intelligent! |

I dated a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader in college a couple of times. That didn't work out... she ended up f#$king and marrying my roommate. She graduated near the top of the class in BioChemistry and is now a physician. She Was Very Smart.... (to stay away from me! )
