My step mom's 74yo brother in law passed away about a month ago and his widow has decided to sell off his guns. In his small collection there are a couple that caught my eye...#1 being a Winchester 62A in at least 95% condition (from pictures and my dad's description) but there were 2 pistols I'm eyeballing too. There is a Llama XI-B 9mm that from what I can tell has never been fired besides the factory test fire (his wife said he never shot it that she knows of) and a Nickle plated Mauser .32auto. The research I've done on the Llama has brought back mixed results, some say run away as fast as you can and others say they are alright besides the fact that there are no replacement parts to be had. Her husband had priced most of his collection on pictures of the guns a few years back, he had the Llama priced at $300 then. After browsing gunbroker and others and finding a few ranging from $143 up to $400 (past and present auctions) I found J&G has the same model in good to very good (no where near the shape this gun is in)for $329.95.....I'm tempted to offer her $225 to see what she says, she's already said she doesn't want top dollar out of the guns she just wants them gone. The mauser and the 62A I haven't seen in person yet but I'm going to try and pick them up as well. My dad also said there was a Springfield bolt action .22 in there too. My wallet hates me already.....should I forget the Llama and worry about the others? help me decide

I would be honest with her, and when making your offer on the others tell her that you aren't as sure about the Llama, and would only offer $225 on that one. That way you're not likely to mess up the deal on the others, and it's up to her on the Llama.
