This morning I drove to Micro Center at 92nd and Metcalf on the KS side to get a new drive for one of my Laptops.
After locating it I proceded to the cash counter and made my purchase using the Debit card...
I placed the debit card back in my card wallet with my DL and a couple business cards I went to my truck and unlocked my door opened it and reached in to set my purchases down.
I got in and started up and left the parking space...
I drove all the way to the OTHER side of town!
I went to the Raytown Wal-Mart and went in, bought some charcoal, Washer Fluid, and a duffle bag.
got to the cash counter and reached in my pocket.... No card wallet......
OMGWTFBBQ!!!!
I Calmly ran around in circles retracing and checking my steps... I CALLED Micro Center, and No good, they didn't have my stuff....
I resolved that my stuff was gone and I would have to jump through hoops like that.
I came on home and there was a message on my answering machine, A good samaritan had found my card wallet in the lot at Micro-Center and it was intact in his possession...
I called him and he is going to mail my stuff to me.
Very nice feller...

Did someone say BBQ?

Cool story, bro.

ETA: I'd go get it instead of relying/waiting on the USPS.

Grats man, that being said I would still keep a close eye on my CC and Bank accounts. Actually, I would probably start changing out the cards/numbers one by one starting now, but I am paranoid. Doing them one by one limits the inconvenience of them all being down at once.

I have the guy's name, address, and phone number...
There is nothing he can do with what he got anyway.
He called me within minutes of finding it so I felt very relieved...
All was in the folder just like I left it, EVERYTHING was there.
I am impressed by this individual. SERIOUSLY!
He surely didn't HAVE to call me at all. He took the time to find my phone number based on my name on the ONE card that was showing.
He never even opened the case... AT ALL until I told him that the address was on my Driver's license that was inside the flip case.

Again, cool story bro!

Be glad that a fellow Arfcommer didn't find your wallet.  As BK put it, I'd have messed with you first.
