hey guys i live in texas, and i 'm wanting to send a family friend a AR as a gift. are there any laws that i need to be aware of in your state or are AR's good to go? other then the going through an FFL part.

No special laws here......only the federal ones.
What part of MO? So we can steer you to the cheapest FFL that will take the shipment straight from you.

Isn't there a law about minimum age to own a rifle? I know there are for handguns, but not sure about rifles.
Sorry dont mean to muddy the waters, just thought that there might be something about age and the op did not mention age of the receiver.

That's just for purchase though, isn't it? Younger kids can receive them as gifts, but couldn't pick one up at an FFL.
