True enough. However they each drive for far more than 500 miles.  With 4 hrs to go they had driven over 2500 miles.  And they do it in the rain and at night, while turning left & right.  Sorry to see Hurley Haywood's final turn of the wheel effort not amount to much.

I don't hate them, just the left turn-straight, left turn-straight monotony.  I like watching Nascar at Watkins Glen or Sears Point and usually a different set of drivers does well at those events.

I'm an open wheel fan myself.  You have to love starting a race from a standstill.

Miles or kilometers?  The winning team only went 4326.15 kilometers which is like 2689 miles.  Divide that evenly with the 4 drivers on the winning team, thats 672.25 miles.  So not much more impressive than Nascar I would say.  They do have a 600 mile race every year.  I would like to see more road courses thou.
