I am looking into becoming a NRA Range Safety Officer (to be used for Boy Scouts) and am looking around for any info available on classes locally (St. Louis area). I have found some info, but the prices for the classes kind of shocked me. I hope I just happened to find the most expensive instructor and can find something a bit more affordable. The local Boy Scout Troop (that my son will move into in another year) has a yearly shooting event but is losing their 2 current certified RSO's (required for the event). If I can find classes affordable enough, I and a co-leader or 2 would volunteer to step into the job.
Any info would help |

You could join Benchrest and go through the training there, and it wouldn't cost anything to ask whether you could sit through the class as a non-member, just make sure the reason you need the training for Boy Scouts.
Call Scott Pieper. The phone number is on the web site. |

PM me and we can discuss. I am a Chief RSO and the father of 3 scouts.
If you want to be come an NRA Rifle instructor I have a class in Feb., and if I have interest I can do aa shotgun class too. FYI there is not a class currently scheduled at benchrest and the classes were not free. Paul |
