I'm thinking about joining  Benchrest Club of St. Louis So my question is when shooting at 600 yards do you ride a golf cart from the stalls to the targets or do you have to walk it?

Also any fees, stories or benefits I should know about?

I've shot high power matches there and never saw a golf cart.  They did have a range truck we used, plus shooter's personal vehicles.

ETA: It's a world class range.  With world class range nazis.  We weren't allowed to close the bolt on our firearms until the barrel was on-target.  For some high power shooters this presented a problem while in prone (trying to reach over the top of a scope while the left hand is slung up).  Despite the mile-high berm they occasionally ding some guys house many hundreds of yards away... and then they blame it on the guys who shoot 1-2 MOA at 600 yards  (I'm not that good!)

You can use your own vehicle to drive down to the 600 yard line.
The procedure is covered in the safety orientation.
The last newsletter that I got last week said that the new member is going to change next year.
A $50 deposit along with an application must be sent prior to the mew member class.
The class will now be 8 hours due to recent safety violations.

PWA,
I am sorry to see you feel so strongly about OUR safety rules. Please find a different range to shoot on if you do not like and can not follow OUR safety rules. Sure if you have a ND and launch one over the berm and do damage to someones property and he sues and we loose. It is OUR range that will be closed down. Unfortunately as noted we have had some shots go over the berm. I am sure it was an accident. Who would purposely shoot over the berm? So, making sure that the rifle is parallel with the ground pointing towards the target before closing the bolt is just a smart safe way to make sure that your gun does not accidentally discharge.

BTW did you hear about the guy shooting sub MOA at the annual Fifty Caliber Shooting Assoc. Well it appears that he had his finger on the trigger when he closed his bolt. The make of rifle he had, has had a defect in the design and allowed the firing pin to go forward enough to set off the round with out the bolt being in battery. I dont know if the bullet exited the barrel. But the bolt came out of th stock and brass was shot out like shrapnel. So accidents do happen. Lets just contain and control the accident as best as we can.

Thanks

BTW I am a RSO and I just called out another RSO for being a "Range Nazi". We were told during our training to avoid being called a "Range Nazi". But then too, maybe a fudd arrives and needs some special attention for the reasons stated above. And to protect other shooters. We dont want shooters to be run off by someone who is unsafe.

Don't get your feelings hurt man, it's just an observation.  I can't afford your club anyway
