| Anybody know how the outside Eye Consultant is? Went to be processed last Thursday for the Army and have to go for a consultation for my eyes hopefully this week sometime. Was woundering if anyone else has had to see him/her? |

After failing the depth perception test miserably during the flight physical (they sent me to Ft Leonard Wood for it - recruiter drove me there and back) it wasn't apparent why everything else was OK except this one thing. An Army optometrist somewhere in St Louis put me in the chair and figured out I had a slight astigmatism in my left eye which made me just a bit too right eye dominant, killing a lot of my natural depth perception. Thus ended my flight school dream. Went Airborne instead. Sorry I had nothing to offer, but thanks for the chance to reminisce. |
