While I don't disagree that open carry is a right that can / should be exercised, there is still something to be said about discretion.
In any case, if you want to make a statement, this might be the way to do it. Granted, the Duke Nukem Wheelbarrow 'o Fun has him beat, but I don't think Duke lugged all of his stuff to the 4th of July parade. http://opencarry.mywowbb.com/forum52/28077.html

All that matters is whether or not he can make that a functional setup if he ever does have to defend himself.
Let him do it. People opposing to his acts are the ones who get the ball rolling towards gun control. It would be asinine to start limiting how much and what you can carry. |

So, he is carrying his kid on his shoulders... Nothing wrong with that. What will he do when some thug runs up and grabs a pistol or two out of the holsters? Duh, He will throw the child at the Thug, then attempt to get one of those penis extension glocks out of that rig and empty it in the general direction of the Thug.... while screaming like a woman and running away.... SOP... |

Definitely a "poser" rig. Probably bbsed off of watching Tomb Raider or Underworld one too many times. (Not that those are bad flicks. Everyone who really knows, knows that the pistol butts should be facing each other. Face Off, actually. He had the Gold 1911s in a rig exactly like that. I forget which maker made it (Desantis, maybe?) but they sold them for a while... |

I think that is funny as hell and I would bet those aren't real guns anyway.
Can you imagine the look on the face of some wanna-be thug when he grabs those guns and tries to mug the owner only to find out they are only loaded with water and the would-be victim smiles and pulls out a real gun? I guess that would be illegal under the "hunting over bait" rules in the wildlife code eh? ETA, oopsies, I would have lost that bet. It looks like those are real guns, loaded too... Regardless (irregardless to you grammar nazis) I admire his spirit and would have happily provided discrete overwatch protection to defend him against any unwanted assaults/grab attacks. |

ok, have to stir the pot... no one go ape shit about the following Glock comment... "2 grenades are always better than 1"
Of course he has to carry two. What if he throws the first one and it has an FTE? Gotta go to a back up then. FTE=Failure To Explode |

Eh, you can have your Nick Cage and I will stick with my choices of a tight leather-clad Angelina Jolie and Kate Beckinsale. |
| I see this no different than a gay dude dancing around in a fairy costume in public, shoving it down everybody's throat whether they're comfortable with it or not. In the exact same manner, this guy doesn't care how many people he offends in order to show the world what he believes. Hell, I'd be offended if I saw somebody open carrying like that. |
| I wouldn't mind him around. It places the first shots fired into him. Anyone thats going to start trouble takes out the known targets first. Bad guy's may not have common sense but most have some bit of street smarts and know to shoot the guy showing a gun (or guns) before shooting the one with CCW thats not. |
