I have got this questions from several people so here it is.  I had a customer get a form 4 signature from the new Sheriff Mike sharp the other day.  The same nice lady deputy signed it for the sheriff that has been signing for Sheriff Tom Phillips.

This is a good sign.  Anyone else get any form 4's signed in JC this year?  Hope this is just business as usual

A couple things.  First of all, I know several people who know Mike very well.  He should be very gun friendly.  Although he ran as a Democrat, I hear he is pretty conservative.  No Republican would have a chance in hell getting elected in Jackson County, so you can figure that one out.  Secondly, If the lady you are talking about is Sgt. Judy Farnsworth, I heard that she either just retired or is retiring very soon.  We may have to get someone new broke in.  But I don't think it will be a big deal.  I've done some training with Judy, so I was looking forward to having her sign a Form 1 and some Form 4's.  I was disappointed to hear about her retirement.

I made three trips to get a signature before the end of the year and all three times I walked past a line of about thirty people waiting for their CCW. One guy said the wait was about three hours as everyone was trying to beat the worry of a new Sheriff.

I spent more time applying for, and picking up, my CCW permit back in Feb/March than I did in the CCW class.  The first wave of renewals was coming up in March 08.  It sucked.
