| so, as a nation, we are attacked by muslims. We invade muslim nations to take the fight to our muslim enemy. We kicka$$ and takes names. But we can't have a bumper sticker that expresses our anger towards the fundamental religion that hates us?? Completely insane and the reason we fail as a country. |

But we can't have a bumper sticker that expresses our anger towards the fundamental religion that hates us?? Completely insane and the reason we fail as a country. We've also been attacked by atheists, Anglicans, Catholics, Shintoists, and pagans. Get over your religious biases. A terrorist is a terrorist, regardless of which direction or imaginary creature he bows before. And Brother_Kane is right, you tread on US Government territory, and you give up not just one, but several of your rights. It's been that way as long as any of us have been alive. Don't like it, don't go there. In regards to military reservations, you do have a choice... |

The military can do what it chooses in this matter but as the attorney pointed out there are other bumper stickers that are not prohibited. Either they have to ban them all or ban none.
When in the hell did the jar heads start worrying about offending anyone anyway??!!??!! |

Thanks bano for jumping into that feet first. Right now Muslims are our enemy! Right now we are not be warred upon by atheist' catholics, pagans, or whomever else. My point was that right now muslims are waging a jihad on America. My main point was the fact that they can do this and we must be culturally sensative... like you are! Congrats on being sensative to their way of life. I am just not that good of a person.
You are only correct when you say that it is a federal installation and you have to abide by their rules or don't go on base. Simple as that. The rest is opinion- I have mine, you have yours. |
| does that mean that yankees fans and Red sox fans should all hold hands and sing cumbaya? I appreciate your view. I am just not that tolerant of people who hate us. I am certain it is not my worst fault. If hating those that wish ill upon us is "close minded" then mine has been welded shut. Maybe if the unfairly treated muslims would denounce the actions on 9-11 or denounce Al Qaeda or Abu Sayef or hezbollah then i could see the errors of my ways... until then, i will stick to my guns. |

People that are close minded and intolerant about other peoples way of life are our enemy.
Like radical Muslims? The worst part is that the bumper sticker is a FACTUAL STATEMENT. I was watching a documentary this weekend... Those mother f'ers looked pretty happy when they were hanging the burnt bodies of four Blackwater employees from a bridge in Iraq.... but I guess we should all be a little more open minded. |

Yes like radical Muslims. ntmid8r333 was saying Muslims are our enemy, not radical Muslims or islamofacists. You people apparently don't know the difference between the two. I'll speak nothing more on the subject, just continue to spread your ignorant hate. |

Bano my friend, I agree with you in part and disagree with you in another part.
Disagree: True as it may, it was you who were more than others painting all Muslims with a broad paint brush. I think everyone here other than you knew we were talking about radical Muslims. And it is the radical ones who are acting up at this time. Thus I can not fault anyone for hating those people to the point of wanting to kill them (thats those who wish to cause us harm) all off and purge the world of those who think that they can wage any kind of war on us, without us returning favor. Agree: Yes I too along with others here were once in the military. We remember that we are not afforded some of our rights like those who are civilians. But to force some to remove some decals and not to force others to do like wise is to me, a biased enforcement of a rule. I am a Christian and it offends me to see any kind of hate message about Christians. So, let the rule be for all or none. And by the way, I do remember where you stand on religion. As far away as possible. So, even though you did not mention your bias, and hence your statements in your post. I do know where you are coming from. But you have a right to your opinion, and so do I. Believe it or not, your friend. Even though we fight like brothers at times. Max |

I can assure you that i know the difference between muslims and radical muslims. One acts with aggression while the other silently agrees with said action. All it would take to change an opinion is for a muslim to denounce the actions of the 9-11 attackers. the koran is simple on all of this. I don't claim to be a theologian or anything but i have done a small bit of research in order to form my opinion. I don't have to be viewed as correct by anyone when it comes to opinion.
I think you are right about one thing BaNo- this is probably a topic left alone since it involves personal opinion. Each to his own. |
