I am wondering if any of you guys are members over there? I am looking for a good local CCW message board that is current and up to date on local events and carry issues. You must be registered to even read the message board. I tried registering over there for about 30min a few days ago and kept giving me some sort of registeration error....it wouldnt let me register at all. I then tried to contact staff/admin but got nowhere. Is there anybody who can contact somebody and see whats up? or give me an e-mail addy of somebody who can help me figure this out? Thanks! |

MissouriCarry.com P.O. BOX 29275 St. Louis, MO 63126 I just e-mailed a link to this thread to the site owner, asking him to help you. You said you couldn't read the forums, but I got the index page before I logged in. Maybe you just didn't click the right spot or something. It's a good site, but I don't go over there much simply because I frequent too many sites. I've slacked on several sites because I can't keep up. Here's their forum index; www.missouricarry.com/forums/index.php EDIT - AK47 is the site owner. |

How may I be of assistance to you? I just double checked the the registration process and it seems to be working correctly. If you have any questions, you may ask them here as I frequent this site often. You may also e-mail me directly at: [email protected] Zac (AK47) who is stepping down, used to own the site but it is now a "not for profit corporation" of which I preside over. We just started our annual election and will be electing three new board members soon. We also are gearing up for our 4th Annual Picnic on October 4th held at the United Sportsman's Club in Jeff City and have a meet and greet with food, fun shooting competitions, machine gun rentals and of course our "famous" raffle where we raffle off GUNS and exciting prizes. This year's top prize is a deluxe AR-15 style rifle donated by CMMG and we have another half-dozen GUN prizes so far including a suppressor donated by major-malfunction and a few more prizes to be announced. Admission to the picnic is FREE and raffle tickets are only $5 each. Quantity discounts are available too! These are the best odds of winning a gun anywhere. Shirts are available without "HTF", Molon Labe, or a bolt face but they are pretty cool in their own right. Come check us out and if you have any problems registering, let me know here and I will help you out. We'll see you there! www.missouricarry.com |
Dam. Thats the same weekend as the fall classic in Rolla. Oh well, maybe next year. Ive heard the carry picninc is awesome, but Ive never been able to attend. |
There MIGHT be a little confusion about that user name on the MissouriCarry forum?? While I've never used that "handle" on any forum, I was an active member on MissouriCarry for a long time (but definitely not now). Many people at MissouriCarry know that I owned/operated MOORE OUTDOORS (a retailer/manufacturer of guns in Smithville, MO that is no longer in business). And, many of those people (especially those in the north of the river K.C. locations) know that my name is Gary Moore. Probably not any big deal ---- you're on the other side of the state, right? Just a little FYI stuff.

Don't worry, after my first few posts everyone will know this new guy (me) can't be you. Oh, I did register but haven't got my confirmation email yet. Hmmm..... Oh, I am from the St. Louis area. |

Double check your spam filter, especially if you are on SBCglobalnet.net Normally the return response is immediate. There has been a lot of trouble getting missouricarry.com whitelisted on that ISP. It is not news to anyone that SBC was very anti-gun. Coincidence?...hmmm |
It's not likely that you will pick up anything new or of great importance by signing up there. It's a "low volume" site --- and as you've already noticed, you have to register as a member/user of the site just to read the forum. As has been said/told, there are many members HERE that are "registered users" on MissouriCarry. If'n there's any REAL Missouri gun news to spread, you can bet your butt that you'll see it right here in the Missouri Hometown Forum. |
I disagree. There are MANY instructors that post there and an amazing amount of knowledge and experience. Missouri Carry is an awesome asset to those that have any questions about CCW, and a great place for people to talk about CCW specific topics. MC is a great website that serves a specific purpose, and serves it well. It's not just about getting CCW news. ETA: As far as the "low volume site." I agree, it's not GD fast, but there are plenty of responses to any question you may have. Keep in mind that 10 posts over there, are equal to 50 posts here, minus the crap. ![]() I have on many occasions, posted a thread in the late evening and by the time I got home from work in the early afternoon, had a page or two of well articulated, on topic responses. |
Your disagreement (and subsequent conversation) is fine by me! Tell me all about MissouriCarry in a few years. I've been a registered user (member?) since June 2004 --- AND have been an annual picnic sponsor (donated ammunition, a new firearm and a complete camping package) for the past 3 years --- AND have met/interacted with most of the board members. You've got some catching up to do!

If you are not coming to the dinner at Domenico's in Jeff City Friday night or the picnic at the United Sportsman's Club this Saturday and you have not got your raffle tickets yet, be sure to get them soon. Wednesday night midnight is the last chance you will have to get them online. Click here for more info... Lots of great gun prizes! Tons of fun! Machineguns!!! Remember, this is fundraiser for Second Amendment groups in Missouri including YHEC, GCLA, WMSA, and MSSA. Last year we raised over $8K. This year's goal is $10K. We can do it with your help. But if you are coming out Saturday, to sweeten the deal, I am bringing my little friend BERTHA (Barrett 82A1) and will be selling shots for $10 which includes a raffle ticket entry (a $5 value) and a very warm brass souvenir. Send a 700gr solid bronze projo downrange and through just about any target we can set up. ![]() (Stock photo, not shown actual size!) Admission is FREE and this is a family event so bring the wife and kids. Someone has to take your picture with "BERTHA"! We'll see you there. |
|
Well, here is your chance! You can go to work any day. This may be your last chance to "date" BERTHA before O'Blama bans them. CMMG will be there with assorted machine guns including an M-16 and UZI I'm told and some suppressed pistols too. Just think how bad you would feel and how non-productive you would be at work that day knowing how much fun we'll be having. Your boss will understand...
