| I was watching the Outdoor Channel and they did a special on the Fayette three gun. I was just wondering why through out the whole show I never once heard anything about CMMG or even Fire for effect. It was souly about FN. I never even saw Jeff or John. Just seemed like they got pushed out of the way, and missed out on one hell of an opportunity for some really great publicty. Sure would have thought they could have atleast had a banner up or something. Or did they sell the range to FN (ken flood). |

Any of us locals that were there make it on TV? or did they just follow the Pros around all day? I haven't seen these shows yet. I'll need to check with a couple DVR-equipped friends to see if they taped it or not. if not, perhaps we need to have a MOHTF-Movie Night to view it! (On Thursday evening, yeah yeah.... |

I was kind of expecting more too other than what was shown. I know they had the footage. They filmed several of my squad on the stage with the Jeep and targets in the windows. And we saw them filming a lot of other squads, not just the Pros. Nothing wrong with showing the pros, it's just that the shows continually do so and forget about the 98% of the shooters that make the sport happen. Also, just showing pros shooting so doesn't entice the average shooter to give it a try. Most will think it's out of their reach. I kind of went "WTF???" when I saw Towsley shooting the SCAR on a stage. Come on, at least show real shooters using obtainable guns. In spite of the TV coverage, the match was a blast. Definately on the yearly to do list. Craig |
| I'm sorry Jeff but it is FN's fault. They could have simply said in thier interview that they would like to thank CMMG for letting them host their shoot at your range. And on another note, Garson works for you and he didn't even say anything about CMMG not to mention all he was wearing was an FN shirt. He could have at least put on a hat that said CMMG or something. |

TV is all about sponsorship and advertising. I have a buddy that sponsors various shooting events that sometimes end up on TV. He was a stage sponsor at the 07 USPSA nationals He told me that he witnessed a cameraman positioning himself so that his banner would not be shown in the footage. I guess he made it obvious. Since then, he has made sure that anyone that shows up without a hat, gets one of his. |
