i was just down there(8/9-8/11 in KC) for a "pinks" tv show filming(on 8/10 at KCIR) and have to say

damn it was hot!!


and you guys have too much corn and soybeans there, thats all i saw till i hit KC

You need to go south of the Missouri River to see the hills and trees -  it's a whole 'nuther world of cows, and almost no row crops.

I like to refer to northern Missouri as South Iowa.

I hear you brother. We've been going up to the Muskegon area a few times lately and I love the weather there. Missouri's summers suck.

As for the corn, the guys are right, you've only seen a small part of Missouri. Southern Missouri would make any Michigan outdoorsman green with envy. I floated one of your rivers a couple of years ago and thought I was on the kiddie ride at the amusement park. Absolutely lame. Nothing like our Ozark streams (not that ours are rapids but they're a lot more interesting than the Michigan river I floated).

Also, you don't have any hills (at least not compared to the Ozarks).

Got to admit, you've got great summers.
