We posted this over in the discussion forum but thought the MO crew would get a kick out of it.  This is like the rifle we were using in the MODCC shoot this last weekend.  Gonna try a padlock tomorrow :)

Here is a vid

Is it like a STG58 Stoll FH or are they just messing around?

We designed this specifically for cutting up to 1/2" rebar.  We were trying to be scientific about it.  You know we never mess around :)

You will notice there is not shooter visible.  We were all cowering behind a berm with 25yds of fishing line between us and the rifle.  FWIW, we couldn't find any back splash.

Next time you try it out put a big piece of cardboard a few inches behind to see if you get any back splash!  Is there any practical purpose to this or are you guys just bored?

Yup, we're going to do that tomorrow when we do some 1/2" rebar.  From what I can tell from shooting it yesterday, there sure wasn't the shrapnel that I expected.

We wanted a threaded SST accuracy setup for different muzzle attachments and didn't want to have just a plain old boring thread protector, so we incorporated a wire/rebar cutter into it.  Of course, it would be accurate enough to shoot the target @ 100 yards too.

We ran an initial batch of 30 units for our test run of SST barrels.  They will be available for sale by themselves though soon.

In case anyone is thinking why the hell someone would want to shoot rebar, in urban operations sometimes you use a rocket or an explosive of some kind to blow a large hole in concrete walls or fortifications.  This works pretty well but there is alot of rebar left behind in the hole sticking out in all directions and often blocking your ability to go through the hole into the area beyond.  The faster you can get the rebar out of the way, the faster you can gain entry and start doing the dirty work inside.

So its actually a damn practical muzzle attachment, if you happen to be shipping out to Iraq anytime soon....
