Hey I am beginning to think that these shoots are pretty nice with about 15-20 people. You can get through the COF twice or more, have time to just blast away, and still socialise (you do it Lief, admit it!!!)

I think we all need to thank Jeff and John for their killer range!!! the COF is definately a new animal now that you can sweep all the way in front of you.
It really changes the dynamic of setting up creative COF's now! And with all the space I think we can even divide it into several scenario based 'rooms' that can have all kinds of different setups!!

Wayne, sorry you are disqualified from the 'Timber sports' event because you didn't have a partner!!!LOL!!!
So that makes the win go to MP3 guy (Sorry I didn't get your name!!! The guy with the best time I think in the 1st COF!) and his partner!

John, I'm gonna hold you to posting the pix of today!!!

Jeff...post the COF times puuuuhhhleeeeze!!!!! Man and I didn't even get mag couplers or shoot FA!!!! Duhhhhhh.......

I missed the Justinite!! Where were you boy?

All in all I really had a great time. And I will again post this:
We should do a 2 day shoot/camp! Shoot during the day. Then camp through the night and have an early morn shoot then done!!! Whadaya think?

I wish I didn't have to leave so early, now I've got a pile of loaded mags i gotta 'unload'. I think I'll do that tommorrow at Finger if anyone wants to join me!!!!

Again...Thanks Jeff and John for such a killer time, and everyone who came!!!

Another really safe and entertaining day of shooting!  Another thanks to Jeff and John of CMMG the new range works great for the COF.  The 4X4 team shoot worked well.

Metalman’s speed shoot is a must for the next shoot.  I will fix..uh..that ..you know

Looking forward to September!

Yup, it was a great shoot. I have to admit I wussed out and used the little M1 (carbine) instead of the big M1 (Garand) but I really didn't want to have to run the course carry a ammo can of 30.06!
The timber shoot was fun too, definitely have to do that again. And yes, I will be packing more 12gauge slugs next month :).
The new range is great, I really like how it is coming along and it ought to be really fantastic by the time it gets finished.
And of course I am eagerly awaiting the posting of picts, my batteries died in my camera so all I have are memories....

Thanks again Jeff and John, another great meet!

I had a GREAT time. I think I only shot 3 rounds full auto though (my ammo was bad). My 2nd time through the COF was AWESOME. 76 seconds, 2 non-stops, no hostages hit, and my gun went down. The 2 non-stops would have probably been taken down, and my score would have remained the same had my gun not jammed I think, they were in that clump on the far left which I'd have swept again when I got close. We were using the new rules where any two hits counted, so I don't know how that actually compares to a 1st round COF score, but hey, for my second time ever, it was pretty good! I wish I had gone through and checked my targets for head shots and where the shots were though.

A big thanks to our hosts, and the guy that fixed my gun (sorry I forgot your name!). Having it break on CMMG's place was fairly convenient. Well, as convenient as having a gun break can be anyway.

I look forward to the next shoot. I will try to have some commercial ammo to run through other people's toys so I can at least try out full auto. Heck, only commercial ammo I have right now is 22, 7.62X39, and 7.62X54.

I'd be more than willing to make the september shoot a 2 day, or any of them for that matter. Cold, snow, I don't care :D

I had thought I'd just stick with this shorty stock, but I might put a collapsible on there. Though, I do like how short it is, I'd be able to control it better were it an inch longer.

All in all, I had a great time despite problems with the gun and ammo. I'll get some small base dies and see if that'll solve the problem.

Then lets do the camp/shootout. And what do you mean I'm disqualified? I shot that 4x4 in half first so that makes me the winner.......Doesnt it? Great shoot im up for next month shoot!
