I wouldn't worry too much. Losing to SC should have pissed them off plenty.  Since then, they haven't played like a pissed off former #1 team. (like FL two years ago).  McElroy is terrible. The D isn't anything to write home about. There's something behind the scenes causing a morale issue.  You can throw the records out the window when it comes to the Iron Bowl but something's wrong with Bama.  And one more thing....War Eagle!!!

Things like that happen when you play a ton of freshmen and underclassmen. Coming into the season, I kinda figured there would be some issues with inexperience and youth, and they have reared their head right now..........as for morale, not so much. An inexperienced defense, an offensive line that hasnt been hitting on all cylinders and mistakes has brought Bama where they are today, but so goes the SEC from year to year..........down, but not the end of the world. Much like LSU right after they won the NC, so goes this team.  But recruiting is going well, and I expect not too long from now they will be in the hunt again

McElroy isnt a terrible QB..........he just needs to release a little quicker than he has been doing

Yes, he does tend to hold the ball too long but how good a QB looks depends a lot on the offensive line...

And that's Auburn's one true strength.  A huge physical O-line with nearly 200 starts between them, man-handling every opponent.  It will be one hellofa epic game in Jordan Hare West in a few weeks.

Think of all the money we'll save not going to Atlanta or the west coast.

(Mathematically, Alabama can still get to Atlanta). Mathematically.

We were certainly outplayed, maybe outcoached.

It should be.............you can, as the old saying goes, throw out the record books, because despite their troubles I feel Bama will be up for this game..............both teams live for this one, and the run defense has been pretty good

Its really sad that the only thing you have to cheer for is beating Alabama.

Auburn still has a chance at greatness this year. We will see how far a $200k player will carry you.

LSU your going nowhere, congrats.

Butthurt? Nope...I figured Alabama would probably drop 3 games this year, with having to rebuild a defense and the couple of losses we had on the O-line. To be 100% honest I didn't expect us to do as well as we have this year. As far as LSU I was pulling for you two weeks ago...not so much last week

Being young and inexperienced is not a valid reason. I watched the game. LSU played three frosh DBs most of the game and their RG in 2nd half was a frosh. Their RT for nearly the whole game was a guy who has played maybe 40 plays in 3 years. LSU had 2 starting LBers who were starting for the 1st time this year. So both were inexperienced.

Auburn's greatness is reportedly due to a $200,000 payment which was verified on tape by MooU coaches and now turned over to NCAA which has brought in the FBI. ESPN has reportedly heard the tapes which is why they are adament about what happened. If true, Auburn's greatness will go flat very quickly  This would mean probation and loss of all games. We will know very soon.

Hopefully not true as it would reflect bad on the SEC and of course, on old Slive

Yes, and Bama has quite a few more first time starters than LSU, especially on defense..............I would say it's a very valid reason, and the fact that they just got wore down........dont worry, we wont take any credit away from your beloved LSU alaman, they won fair and square and congrats to them.............

Alabama was overrated coming into the season.

I say that as an Alabama fan.

Kudos to SC and LSU. Keep in mind that both teams were coming off of their off weeks and losses to Auburn.

Alabama was out coached vs LSU. We never took advantage of opportunities.

The Iron Bowl will be good this year.

I'm torn.

I want 'Bama to win, but I also want an undefeated SEC team to BEAT THE CRAP out of Boise State!!
