I am not sure if this has been discussed or not ,but has there ever been a weekend where the men from arfcom in AL get together and meet and greet?

You're just a few years too late from our old quarterly FOP meets and eats.  Fun times.

Actually, we've met occasionally at local restaurants since then.  Jim n Nicks in Hoover, Porky's immediately comes to mind.

Short answer... Yup.

I think the last publicised one was back in December, seems I recall a group getting together at Monte Sano SP in Huntsville.

I can't seem to find how to use the search feature to just search the community forums, but by Googling I recall the title of the threads were "Mens Weekend".

Judging by the play by play reports and photos... it sounded like it was at the very least, a fun weekend.  It had to be, how better could it get than to mix cold, tents, and a campfire and I think it was reported a couple of the attendees were gi'tar pickers.

I'm ready for a camp out. Have canoes. Have backwaters. Have a wife that wants me out of the house. Why the hell not?

Yup, it's called "Men's Weekend", and it is held the first weekend  after Christmas, yearly.  Not to say there could not be more, that would be fun!  We had a fairly good turnout this last year!  And it's Reddog3_d and I that had guitars.  I would hardly call us "players", but we *do* have guitars!
