What size shipping containers?  The large metal containers that are used on boats, or the smaller bins.  That stores uses to ship things separate according to departments from their distribution centers.  Might be able to help.

my neighbor bought one last year and turned it into a work shop. took him a LOT of work but it's pretty nice. if you plan to work in it... THEY GET HOT inside in the summer. plan for good ventilation.

For the Montgomery area I know of 2 places. Alabama Steel Supply and then there is a place off the Waugh / Ceceil exit. Could possibly be off the Mt. Meggs. Either way its right off 85 and there was a sign on the roadside.

That's why when I buy mine, it's going to be the insulated version.

Try Metro Truck Rental at the junction of Cahaba Valley Rd and Hwy 31 in Pelham, just south of B'ham. They have large stacks of them, both 40' and 24'(not sure of exact ft. size).

Looked at them in Mobile before all he hurricanes and could have bought a rough one (40ft)for 800 and up to 3500 for a brand new one with doors on each end.
20s were close to the same price, definitely not 1/2 price of a 40.  Here for the last couple years they have been around 2500 for a used 40. But I havent checked recently since the scrap metal has gone way down.  They usually carry 45 ft aluminum containers also but I cant remember how much they were. Need to call back because I still havent got one. Id like a 20 for a storm shelter also...
