A few months ago Johnny Morgan started CMP matches at Magnolia Rifle and Pistol range. We have had very few attend and I'm looking for more people to shoot. I only shoot in the John C. Grand Match, but their are also m1carbine matches, and vintage matches. In the Grand matches you can shoot an ar15, M1 Garand, 1903 Springfield, 1914 Johnson, M1 Carbine, or us Krag Rifle. I use my Colt 20in a2. Come watch or better yet shoot. I do not have a membership and during matches you do not have to have a membership. If you shoot it is only a 15.00 entry fee. If you do not have a proper gun for the competition we have a few loaner guns. One of the loaners is my M1Garand. They do have 30-06 ball ammo for the Garand to purchase for the match. 15.00 for 60 rounds I can not buy at store that cheap. |
The next shoot is July 12 you should bring your toys. It is 200 yds irons only. Im going to turcot range today to break in my new 450 Bushmaster.
