| I'm looking into getting another suppressor and I'm trying to find somebody closer than the guy I used last time. I live in Canton. I've tried getting a hold of a man in Flora but can seem to reach him. Are there any others? I saw a listing off the SWR website for a guy in Madison but can't find him in the phone book. Decker Enterprises is the name of his outfit. Any help would be appreciated. |
yeah...leave don a message if he doesnt answer...he is a stand up guy for sure! and yes he is in flora...i do not know of anyone in madison... another option is try ryan hood...he is an attorney but owns discount jewelry and pawn out on hwy 80 by metro center mall...that is who i bought my gemtech outback II from...i tried to call him recently about doing a transfer for me but couldnt get him so i called don cresswell. who did you use last time? if it wasnt tim coleman at grenada gold n gun exchange you could/should try him/his wife dana. |

I used Don Creswell in Flora about 4 months ago. He works out of his house, but seemed to be extremely honest and easy to deal with. Always called me back. Only took about 5 weeks start to finish to get it. I got Toby to sign off on mine and he was very easy. He's got a supppressed rifle so he's not completely clueless. I've bought several guns from him also. He seemes to have great prices. I would use Don again in a heartbeat. He was picking up several new brands in Dec/Jan to upgrade to some quality lines. Be sure and only buy something that has a lifetime warranty. What caliber are you looking for? IM me if you have any questions on streamlining the process. Also there's a guy outside of Hattiesburg that is REALLY good. He comes to all the gun shows. I have a few friends who have gotten them from him. www.smithsspeedshop.com I think. Name is mike. |
The guy that I used last time was a man in Tylertown. He was a good guy to work with and I also had no problems with Toby. I think that I'm going to keep trying the man in Flora I'm sure he's got a reason for being so hard to reach. I'm going to suppress a sig sp2022 9mm. I'm up in the air still as to which can I want to go with. I have it narrowed down to two: Gemtech Trinity or the SWR Trident. I'm leaning towards the SWR. Once my barrel comes back from the gunsmith with its threads I'll have decided. (I hope!!) Thanks for all the help. Now we just need to organize some type of get together/PR match for all of us in the northern part of the state. I went to a PR match down by the coast but that's just to damn far to drive. |

I know Don has a young daughter that he takes care of, but he always got right back to me and kept me informed. They great thing about Smith's Speed Shop outside of hattiesburg is that he actually has can's you can try out before you order one. He seems EXTREMELY nice and has a genuine concern for his customers. His website is outdated, but everyone I know who's dealt with him has been pleased. He threaded a G22 Barrel for me also. He comes to all the Jackson gun shows. I know there is one here in Feb. |
