Actually, if you read the law thoroughly, an employee can. It's kind of a screwy clause, but "employees acting the normal course of their duties" are exempted from the prohibition. Plus, students are allowed to have them in their dorms. Louisiana considers cars and dorm rooms as extensions of your home. |

A friend of mine was robbed at gunpoint on the ULM campus before thanksgiving. The perp opned their door, pointed a gun at them, and said "This is a robbery, let's not turn it into a murder" They did catch the SOB however, and Doug picked him out of a line up. The ghetto gangsters always get crazy this time of year.

| It probably wouldn't have helped the victims -Indian nationals studying here. They were in married student housing across from tiger stadium. Indian grad students in married housing don't usually invite Jerome and Baby T over to sell them some pot and the area is too poor for a random robbery, which means there was a personal motive for killing these people, especially since there were at least 3 pieces of shit involved. My guess is Black on Brown "hate crime" or retribution (for calling police on them, etc). |
