Here is the link if it gets off page 1: http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=1&f=5&t=644603&page=1 Now here is my thought on the Gay General! Yeah, like it really matters. Posted to the CNN headline News live youtube on 29 Nov 07. First of all I was very frustrated with the active polling over the participants and use of distractions in this debate. I had the frustration at a primary that I attended in the past. I feel that this just gives people a 'chance' to choose a 'winner', not make an informed choice. Political correctness is and will be the thing that helps us lose our moral way in all issues facing our country. As a citizen and as a veteran I am appalled to hear comments about gays in the military. Not because I do not beleive they can contribute, or that they do not belong in the military, but because I have problems with veterans that were gay when it was not allowed/accepted. I fail to see the difference with illegal immigrants and illigal service personnel. They are illegal, but at least the illegal immigrants did NOT take an oath to support and defend our constitution and the rules and regulations of their respective services and then allow the persecution of those with less rank/noteriety for their gay, or questionable service, even dishonorable actions. Their service to this country is without question, but their honesty, integrity and 'legal' status as veterans, is in my opinion, definitely in question. Just as the status of any person who is considered 'legal' to receive any of the benefits of this great nation. We are not all perfect, or the same, but when we give our oath to perform in a certain way and under certain conditions, especially as a leader, then we must do it. This morality and truth is the biggest challenge for our nation. This determination of just what is 'right' and proper is all about America and the issues of today. |
I got caught by the Ron Paul guys there at the gun show... I'm a fence swayer between Paul, Thompson and Huckabee.... anyway, they pulled tooth and nail to sway me to Paul (obviously)... I said it really doesn't matter to me as I have no 'voting' rights in who gets the nomination... I'll be happy with either 3. The Paul guys said Huckabee is for the amnesty of illegals... I said I'll have to read it to believe it. So, if a gay served illegally in the armed forces, did he/she (it?) earn the title of being straight?

My wife groaned about the Alabama Muslim & her question... michellemalkin.com/2007/11/29/surprise-muslim-youtube-questioner-was-former-cair-intern/ BTW, how in the world did we ever manage to have two Alabamians' questions picked out of the kajillion that must have been submitted?

Michelle Malkin has shown that most of the people in the videos chosen by CNN had agendas and/or worked for groups that had agendas against the Republicans. |
