i have to admit the few shows i have been to in atlanata were WAY above what we get here in both size and quality. |
I so much disagree You just have to find the hobbiest dealers like me. Guys that for the most part do not have a FFL , are hardcore shooters and collectors and like the chance to turn their extra gear back into cash and have some fun doing it. I normally get a table or two at each AGCA show , drag out a half dozen boxes of crap and turn some good money in a weekend. Most of this stuff is yardsale finds or range deals that I can sell for a very fair price and make a few dollars off of. My motto is ," I did not bring this sh*t down her , to take it back home." We wheel and deal and "prices are mere suggestions". I have 3gun and ipschosser help me out , we get to hang out at the show and meet new shooters and see a bunch of old friends. If you share a table with a buddy , one can watch the table while the other shops. The tables cost around $50 each and are a deal at that. Join the AGCA , get a table or two , drag out all that old , extra gun crap you have and give it a try , this is what shows were like in the old days , before a bunch of retired old heads turned them into a retirement job of making the gun show rounds. They do not really care if they sell you that "thing" that you just have to have because they are doing a new show next weekend in some other town and they know if they carry it around enough someone will buy it one day for that outragious price they are asking. I say , Lets take back the Fun Show!!!!! Get a table and join in!! |
