| If one were to plan a trip from the Cincinati area over to Seymour, IN, what other stops besides Acme Sports should be worked into the trip? |
|
Assuming you would be taking Highway 50 there really isn't much along your way. If you travel north on 31 a few miles north of the Highway 50 junction you could stop by Bite the Bullet gun shop. Bob Trueblood is the guy that runs the shop in his garage, and he is a very good guy. He mainly focuses on selling high-end handguns like Wilson Combat, STI, etc......He also sells a lot of Dillon reloading stuff.
Hope to see ya when ya get here. Anything in particular you are looking for? |

There's a Bassmasters in Seymour, but I wouldn't waste my time. While ACME is great - it would not be wasting your time at Jeff's place in Scottsburg. No offense to ACME, but I would pick Jeff over those guys for several reasons (and I have bought a fair share from ACME and will continue to stop in). |

You never know what you'll find(or how it will be priced) in the 256 Sport Shop just east of Austin, IN on 256. Not a big shop, and certainly not well organized - but I've found some interesting stuff there over the years. 20 miles +/- south of Seymour. Everytime I have been by there they are closed. What are their hours? |

Beats me, but I do seem to remember they're closed one day during the week. Tuesday's maybe? Hell, I have been by there on different days of the week...I really would like to stop by there...those little shops are sometime bargain bins with diamonds in the rough. |

I just like Jeff's place a little better. Just saying... |

Better than I could have found anywhere. |

I have bought several guns off Dale over the years....interesting dude! I can remember going there with my dad when I was little, and it was a trip I always enjoyed. He was always the cheapest around on Lacrosse boots, too. |

If you are looking for a deal all you have to do is ask. We have a really big store, and quiet a few employees. That increases overhead. All the other shops you have mentioned are 2-3 employee shops. Our store employs @30 people. I can do whatever it is I have to do to get your business. That being said, competition is a good thing. I get along with all the people that have shops in the area. There isn't really a bad one around. BTW....Where else can you go that sells guns, water heaters, garden seed, paint, zero-turn mowers, Carhart clothes, fishing equipment, hunting gear, tools, nuts & bolts, etc. but here at Scott's Hardware?
