Ok I've got my .458 all put together and ready to go. Just one problem I need some kind of optics and ammo.
So my question is this what are some suggestion from you guys that have all ready field tested the .458's what works the best optics and ammo. Thanks [blue]"Regard your soldiers as your children, and they will follow you into the deepest valleys. Look on them as your own beloved sons, and they will stand by you even unto death!" |

I have an Aimpoint 9000 on mine, got it on sale from Midway for like $210 or so. I had a Vortex Strikefire and it was ok, but the mount could not stand up to
the recoil of the .458 and I felt it was over the top to spend the cost of the sight on a Larue mount. The Strikefire is now awaiting mounting on my next AR build. |

I have a Nikon Monarch 3-9X50 on mine. Works great! For ammo, if you don't have a reloading press you've bought the wrong gun, or you need to get set up to reload. I load my own ammo and save a TON of money over buying factory. Come on, who cant afford 58.00 per 20 rounds.

I have a Famous Maker on mine with Weaver rings and roll my own using Hornady 300g JHP.
