I'll be travelling through IN in July, and as my OH permit should be honored, I was wondering if somebody here could give me a quick overview of your CCW laws (or point me to a FAQ or whatever).

For the short-term, I'm particularly interested in vehicle transport laws - e.g., could I have a loaded gun in the car but not on my person? (came to mind as I will be driving all the way across OH and IN, and might want to stash my CCW piece in the glove box or center console for comfort while I'm on the interstates)

I'd also be interested to know what Indiana's regulations are regarding carry (and firearms in general) on/around college campuses. I ask because my younger brother is attending Purdue, and I might want to visit. Here in OH, carry on the actual grounds is prohibited, but they must allow you to lock your guns in your vehicle (i.e., they cannot prohibit you from having guns locked up in your car). Is it something similar in IN? (or is it even just left up to 'school policy' for universities?)

Walkure,

Here are the two sites I reference when traveling...

http://www.handgunlaw.us/

http://www.carryconcealed.net/

Still, there are many law enforcement ppl whom belong here and are willing to lend a hand!

Safe travels,
