| I've been thinking the same thing ever since I first saw the GSG 5 in mid january. I'm hoping to go to the 1500 right when it opens so can find one before they sell out if anyone has them but with their popularity I'm probably just dreaming hinking.gif If I knew any shop in Indiana had some in stock I wouldn't mind driving there and picking on up. I've already gone all over Indianapolis trying to find one at the local shops with no luck. |

I'll admit they are really cool, but a $500 .22? Seems like a lot of money for a plinker. Even if you had an MP5, I think I'd rather put the $500 into 9m/m ammo rather than a .22 for practice! Maybe it's just me. I guess it is, since they are selling like hotcakes. Price them at $250-300 and maybe.... Doug K |
Have you actually held or shot one? I think if you had your opinion may be a bit different This was the perfect gun released at the perfect time because with the price of ammo people are looking for cool plinkers. |

I was just browsing the GSG 5 thread the other day. I think they look pretty neat, but I would like to fondle one and really see what the hype is about. I havent seen any locally here, but I really wasnt looking either. Anyone with first hand expierence, or own one yet? Post some pics too. TIA |
Yep...put nearly 500 rounds through one with only three failures to eject. The ammo being used was CCI Blazer. As for accuracy, it is easy to be "minute of clay pigeon" at 50 yards . I have yet to shoot one with a scope on it to seriously measure accuracy. The trigger pull is long and a little rough but you can easily get used to it. I would suggest checking all the screws on it when you get it as a few have been loose when they came in. They are nearly identical to real HK MP5s in the feel and dimensions. |
