While I'm on a rant, I might as well just get all of it out on the table. I think I could be much happier on Indiana's political situation if the following items would have been addressed: Property Taxes Marriage protection I am also grateful for Eminent Domain law protection and Funeral Protections. As much as I carry on about DST & the Toll Road, the thought of B Patrick Bauer and his minions making legislation scares me down to the bone. Me thinks we are in for some very bad times. |

It could have been worse. If I had been running Demoncrat campaigns for State Rep seats, I am convinced I could have done better than a three seat pickup or whatever they got. At least the GOP has a shot at regaining the majority in 2008. What will kill the Demoncrats in the next legislative session is if they defeat the second vote for the traditional marriage amendment. The GOP led House voted for it but it has to pass two legislatures in order to get on the ballot. That vote will be the one to watch because it will separate the men from the girly men. |
