I had posted this in the GD yesterday but one of our other Indiana members asked that I cross reference it here to make sure we all see it as it happened in our lovely state. Best Buy S/O goes for the gun |
|
Thank you for posting it in this forum, Mrs. To be honest, the story sounds apocryphal to me. I just don't see a logical sequence of events from asking to see what's under his shirt to assuming that he stole merchandise even after convinced that the object under the customer's shirt was not, nor did it resemble, merchandise that Best Buy stocks. |
|
If it is true - the guy is a freeloader. Making a stink with bestbuy and getting slight comp for troubles. He was not harmed in any way and deserves not much. It is the principle he should fight and make BB change. As far as the S/O, he need to just leave him alone. He is getting greedy and just looking for a quick ego fix. He was an idiot for showing him his gun. He probably was just looking for an excuse to show people he was cool enough to carry. He got his fast buck now he just needs to let it go. This is all of course assuming this story is true - does smell a little fishy... |
I find your statment to be a bit conflicting, if you happen to believe in any kind of evolution at all. Both gene pools could have been removed quickly. The lesson learned for me is this. If someone were to suggest to me that they were going to remove any of my personal property from my person, I would strongly state, "No, you are not." No need to make threats of any kind towards an idiot. Lets practice shall we? No, you are not. I strongly suggest you step away from me as I am doing the same for you. Do I know you? Because I am not gay and I do not want your hands on me. Stop, you are scaring! Keep it up, and you may find Xmas is cancelled this year. (too threatening?) Anybody else want to practice this, post here! |
Maybe if you say it in a Dirty Harry voice... |
I am confused now. What does this have to do with anything? The Security gaurd gave no warning before he attempted the grab and the customer made no threats. At least according to the article. |
actually he did make a statement that could be considered a threat.
|
| Oh, I only read what you posted on the other thread I didn't realize if I clicked the link that there was more to the story. Anyhow that didn't happen until after the guard tried to grab for his gun. There was no warning that the security guard was going to do that. |
From the article: I can now tell all, except the gag order stuff I will confess that I had to lead some of you folks who couldn't read between the lines down the garden path. If I had tipped my hand prematurely, it would had hurt my position with the whole BestBuy encounter. Matters with this security company are officially settled and we parted ways with the understanding that it was an unfortunate incident and I pursued a remedy on principle. The company owner's apology went a long way to bringing this to a close, saving his insurance carrier's costs. I decided not to expend anything on firearms, instead I opted to upgrade my memberships in the NRA and GOA. I did this today. However, my family will be getting a Christmas windfall, as this is only right. As far as the guard who attempted to disarm me, we ascertained his assets and determined that he really doesn't anything to go after, but I did let it become a learing experience for him. I spoke to his parents and made a deal with his father that I would let the matter drop, in exchange for his attendance at a specific NRA sanctioned course that teaches the safe handling of firearms. Granted, the guard was out of line, but I don't think that monetary compensation was called for either. |
thanks for that M4. I went to packing to read the rest of the post. The BB was in Indianapolis, although he doesn't say which one I know of a few. It goes on to say that it is NOT policy in the Indianapolis area to prohibit firearms in their stores.
