No,thats exactly what I'm saying. It didn't.I called Texas 10 years ago and they couldnt find any record of me.Because I didnt know if it was a felony or not.I've been in positions where every law enforcment agency,ATF,FBI,State,Local, you name it in Indiana has had there hand on me and this has never came up on my record. It's like the twilight zone man. All I can figure is Texas lost it for all these years and some book worm found it recently. |

I had Illinois code in a speeding ticket wrong a few years ago - and read in the paper that I was convicted of a DUI! It took 4 days of faxing / calling everyone in the Kansas courthouse (where ticket was issued) and Illinois DMV to finally get it resolved, and get IL to issue a letter of apology. I just bring it up to illustrate the point that mistakes do happen. First thing I would do is go back to the Pawn Shop, give them the $500, and tell them that it is a paperwork mistake that may take a little time to get worked out. Then you need to be calling every office in the county of TX where this supposedly happened to find out exactly what this is, and request faxes of all documents relating to the D-Felony conviction. If they can't provide it at all, make sure it's removed from the system immediately. If they think it's correct, get yourself an attorney in that county and get this corrected. There's a mistake somewhere, and you need this resolved ASAP. This isn't just about guns. If you were to lose a job, you would be unemployable in some fields. Get this done. |

Hey, coloradosteve, IM me your vitals and I will see what I can find out. Any info that I find will be returned VIA IM, as well. For right now, just give me your full legal name, your date of birth, race, and anything else that you figure might help me locate whatever case they may have against you here in Dallas, Texas. Take care. BTW, I don't know what the pawn laws are in Colorado, but here in Texas, you can 'assign' your pawn ticket to a third party and they van pick up your weapomn...in their name.... | Hey, Don't know if this applies for other states like Colorado & Texas, but in Indiana, you can go to your Sheriff's Department and request your criminal history, to see for yourself what is and what isn't on your record. I'm sure there will be a nominal fee... |
