I'm taking my girl to see a concert on Sunday at the Verizon Center and wanted to take her to eat somewhere before. I'd like to eat within walking distance of the place, and somewhere decent, but not somewhere I'd have to wear a tie. It's all a surprise, and being that dressed up will give me away. Any suggestions? |
| There is Clyde's (Seafood), Thai Chilli (Thai) at Gallery Place (right next to the Verizon Center). There are other places across 8th from the Verizon and continuing north is RFD, a pretty chill sports bar. The DC Chop House is (Steak) is one block south. There is an Austin Grill (Tex-Mex) on E street between 8th and 9th street. As Wreckdriver stated China town is right around the corner, north of the Verizon. There is plenty to eat in that area. Just watch out for the homeless zombies. |
