Can anyone tell me if the gun show @ the FairGrounds in Timonium is worth the trip from the Lancaster Pa area ?

My Dad is looking for a unit patch from his Viet nam days & was told to check gun shows & that this is a pretty big show.

It's not the show that it once was, the last one had quite a few empty tables and generally bad reviews from other members here.

Keep your eyes open for the shows at York and Harrisburg which are much better and closer to home.

What's the unit?  Check to see if the unit has reunions or a web site. Check the back of the VFW mag. for reunions and the like.

If you're just looking for a unit patch, then yes, any Maryland gun show will probably be an alright place to check. If you're looking for anything firearms related, I wouldn't waste my money traveling to and entering a Maryland gun show.

Check out the Harrisburg and York shows when they come to town. Believe me, I've only been in MD for a year now, but every MD gun show I've been to has been absolutely terrible.

Thanks for the info guys.

We're going to the Harrisburg show on sunday & if he can't find the patch we'll be going to the Timonium show.

Check Saunders Insignia:Saunders Insignia  I haven't purchased anything from them for awhile but they are good to go.

Thanks for the link.  I've passed it on to my Dad.

Didn't have any luck at the Harrisburg show so it looks like we'll be in Maryland on Oct 6.

Ummmmmmmmmmmmm, no.

Barely worth the drive across town, IMHO, but not too bad for MD.

No.  If you couldn't find it at Harrisburg, you sure as hell won't find it at a MD gun show.

Agreed.  About half of the MD show is a bunch of junk tables with beef jerky, swords, and airsoft guns.  The actual guns and ammo wouldn't fill up 1/10th of the Harrisburg show.  It's pretty disappointing, but then not too surprising with our laws.

Don't waste your gas and time coming to the Timonium show or any MD gun show for that matter.

High prices to get in and you end up looking at air soft, jerky, jewelery, and what guns are there are so OVER PRICED it' not funny.
