| Moving to the Mankato area in May. What do I need to know about Minnesota? |

Quoted: I thought SBRs were legal? Quoted: Quoted: Dang cold here right now. CCW is shall-issue, no class 3 or suppressors. Carry concealed to avoid unnecessary LE attention. Great place to live, though, for hunting, outdoors activities and enjoying all 4 seasons! We don't have CCW, we have a Permit to Carry and it is "Shall Issue" We can have SBR's, No SBS unless they are C&R and already registered as a SBS |

Would my Kentucky CCDW permit course certificate suffice when it comes to applying for one would I have to take some type of Minnesota firearms course once I get there? Quoted:

You also have to re-take the course every 5 years for your renewal. No exceptions. Even certified instructors have to take it to renew their permit. |

How much am I looking at for my class and my permit? |

The class I am currently signed up for my renewal is 80 bucks (100 if I want the "First time I ever held a weapon and now I want to carry for dummies book") and then the permit is between 60 dollars and 100.
To the person that said that there is a bill on the floor about suppressors, care to throw the bill number out there? I will pester congress critters if I can get the bill number. I like it here. I moved here from SC and ten years later I am still here. |

How much am I looking at for my class and my permit? I have a friend in Fairmont that does classes and they cost $80, and the local sheriff's office charges $100 for a 5yr permit. |
