| Hey all from the frozen tundra. I am new to the AR pages but not new to guns. I have lost my ability to shoot long guns, especially my favorite, bolt actions. I have had some serious problems with my neck so I now want to try out an AR, I have read they shoot like a 22 and I can handle that. Nice to be here and it looks like I have plenty of study to do to learn to navigate the pages.times new roman |

And chili needs some sort of (flavorful) filler. Unless you're filling your chili with a variety of hot peppers (not the lame, bland softball-sized ones) beans are a must. Otherwise it's just meat and tomato soup. Hot sauce is no substitute for some real jalapeno, cayenne, or chili peppers chopped up and added to the pot along with lots of onion and enough garlic to make the whole house stink. |

Yep, ARs can be toned down a lot, especially with a proper muzzle brake. Even better for you...ARs can be tuned up to be as accurate, if not more so, than most bolt guns  Plus, being able to hang a decent amount of ammo in one and heading out for some prairie dog varminting...you can shoot all day, never have to move your trigger hand, and still feel refreshed with your shoulder not bothering you after a full day on the bench 
Just...wear good ear protection
