Yesterday, Adam Ballard, Product Manager for DPMS home to 115 employees, 37 of us who are veterans, testified in front of the Minnesota Public Safety and Policy Committee against HF421; a bill designed to ban modern sporting rifles (so-called "assault weapons").

This bill would close our doors, put a great number of hard-working Americans out of work and infringe upon the rights of millions of lawful gun owners in Minnesota.

Watched the testimony live yesterday. Let me just say that Adam was clear and articulate, and definitely gave the gun banners something else to think about in addition to all the other things that are wrong with this bill.

I would like to thank DPMS for all they have done in this fight. I know several people with DPMS rifles and they work really nice. I will support them as they have us. Thanks.

Besides the employees that DPMS has, there are hundreds of additional Minnesota jobs that would be lost. DPMS uses quite a few suppliers that would be affected and some of them are my good friends.

I heard your talk about how DPMS is an important employer on Wed.

It was great hearing him speak. he really drove home the economic hit MN would take and the taxes they contribute to the state.
