An old lady gave me some medals to see what a ballpark value is and I can find info on all but the belt buckle. Anyone have a website or some knowledge about prices so she doesn't get taken. Her brother in law brought them back. Seems like the two medals are around $30 TO $50. There is no writing or any other marks on the buckle.

i get things confused sometimes but the buckle may be a police or political buckle. EDIT- it is a "SA" buckle- the "SA" was a political organization in Germany, basically like the nazi party. value is anywhere from 90-115. Its in good condition but the political stuff doesnt hold as high of value as the military stuff.
go to www.wheremachtawards.com the guys there are pros and will not lead you wrong. I may be interested in the buckle. I have the other medal already, it was given to civilians for their work for the German government, says something like "Fur Armacht Dutch ...." correct? i paid 25 -30 for one with a really nice ribbon still attached. the blue cross i believe is what they gave women for having lots of kids for the "Fatherland" |

the blue cross i believe is what they gave women for having lots of kids for the "Fatherland" Correct, that is the Mutterehrenkreuz (Mother's Cross of Honor). The pictured cross is the bronze class, awarded to women who were "exceptional" mothers (exceptional, of course, in the eyes of Nazi ideals) and had four or five children. There were also silver and gold classes, for six or seven children and eight or more children, respectively. They're pretty common (especially the bronze class) and can frequently be found in good condition complete with the ribbon. |

The one with the shovel and sword is a German West Wall Medal, there should be and inscription on the other side in German. There should be a ribbon attached to it. Loose translation would be "For work in the Protection or Defense of Germany" I cant remember if it says protection or defense on it, it's been a while since I've seen one. |
