Killebrew ends fight vs cancer, looks to hospice MINNEAPOLIS – Hall of Famer Harmon Killebrew said Friday he will no longer fight his esophageal cancer and is settling in for the final days of his life. The Minnesota Twins released a statement on Friday from Killebrew, who said he has "exhausted all options" for treatment of the "awful disease" and that the cancer is incurable. More at link. |

Boogy took alot of pounding and dished it out as well. I was not aware of him having dwellings still back in MN since he was playing out east. |

Wonder if it was too much alcohol on top of the prescription oxy, or if he was abusing the oxy. from what ive seen / read, the problem with Oxycodone is people seem to get addicted to it very easily, and before you know it they are taking bigger and bigger doses... so im guessing LOTS of oxy and a solid night of drinking was all it took. |

Hard to say. Between his shoulder injury and concussion (which was apparently pretty severe), if he was prescribed a healthy enough dose and then socked down an evening's worth of booze... who knows? Opiates are weird shit, whether they're being abused or not. |
