That's why his position with Bachmann's office troubles me...it makes me wonder about her commitment to the liberty movement when she consorts with people as dedicated to supression of that movement. |

Yes, many things.
The things I'll focus on relate to his tenure as chairman of the MN Republican Party. When he came up for reelection in 2009, he didn't run. Why? His behavior in 2008 and before guarenteed he wouldn't win. The man was/is a power-hungry control freak who tried to micromanage the party. When party functionaries in various legislative district organizations (BPOUs) didn't want to go along with his demands, he tried to change the party's constitution to allow the state party to come down, strip BPOU officers of their positions, and take over the BPOU, running them from the state level. He also tried to change the party constitution to make it harder for BPOUs and delegates to call special meetings at which he would have been called to account for his behavior. It all caught up with him. ...and don't get me started on the way he rigged the 2008 convention process for supporters of certain presidential candidates and against supporters of other presidential candidates...or how he let certain household name Republicans cheat to get to the national convention...or...
