Well in a week significant other and myself will be coming to MN Twin Cities area hitting the Mall of America.  We will be in town from Sunday to Wed.  we are going to the Mall of America for one day.  Looking for some ideas of what to do with our other day while we are up there.  Looking for somewhere nice to eat with my girlfriend and some other nice places to go.  It has been probably 7 or 8 years since I have last been in MN.

Thanks for any help guys!

go for the gangster tour

during prohibition, St Paul was a known haven for many of Chicago's big mobsters because the St Paul police made a pact with the mobsters that if they behaved in St Paul the cops wouldn't harrass them...even if they just got done robbing a bank in Chicago or next door in Minneapolis

check out the tours link.

Hit up the Minneapolis Institute of Art

Lots of good eats nearby.  Check out Christo's Greek Restaurant, Black Forest Inn for German, Leaning Tower of Pizza, or  Ichiban Japanese Steak House for the fancy chef flipping knives etc.

Liberty Custard for desert or the Pumphouse Creamery

If you don't like art, how about electricity?

hit up cabela's

Check out Como Park Conservatory, good to be in the steamy jungle when it is bitter cold out

Otherwise, plenty of good suggestions in the other thread

St. Paul hotel is a nice place to eat IMO.  Have a nice selection of wines and spirits (HUGE scotch selection).

speaking of booze selection, Moscow on the Hill has a real nice vodka selection, and is a great place to eat.  It is a great choice if you want to check out the Cathedral of St Paul, the Capitol, or Minnesota History Center.    Right across from Moscow on the Hill is WA Frost, a bit spendy but fancy
