Was it cut pretty recent?  I'm always on the lookout for some quality smoke wood.

Some major bracnhes were cut last fall and early this spring. I finally cut it into decent sized logs. Some of it is a bit wet from the rain we've had but will probably dry up quickly.

I'm located in Maplewood.

Just figured I'd update his thread. had about 3 decent sized truck loads of firewood sitting out back up until 2 weeks ago. Someone took ALL of it.

I'll be clearing out some more in the spring time.

Just BE CAREFUL about WHOM you're selling your wood to!

Hennepin & Ramsey Counties have been under a QUARANTINE due to the Emerald Ash borer, and ALL WOOD (not just Ash wood) is to be quarantined WITHIN THESE TWO COUNTIES!

It's a $7500+ FINE to sell firewood to somebody outside these two counties, and/or TRANSPORT firewood from Ramsey or Hennepin counties!

Big NO NO, and this quarantine has been in place since AT LEAST this past September/October (I think since about July), so you don't want to go selling that to somebody who is going to take it out of your county - or you could get fined pretty heavily.

Emerald Ash Borer doesn't JUST bore into Ash Trees.  It will also bore into other hardwood trees, but it does not thrive or colonize in them.  That said, the quarantine is for ALL wood species within the two counties in hopes that the borer won't sneak out in an Oak or Maple or something and thereby be transported further north toward our norther FOREST areas which are heavily laden with Ash trees.

PLEASE do your part to stop the spread of this little green bastard!  The larger infestations found in the Twin Cities have been recorded in the St Paul & Roseville areas not very far at all from the Maplewood city boundary!
