| Another mini 3-gun is coming up on April 19th at the Del-Tone-Luth Gun Club in St. Cloud. |

I am looking for assistance at this shoot. I am going to be shooting my new Winchester Practical semi-auto 12ga. I hope to have my FN SLP semi-auto 12ga back from SRM Performance prior to this shoot. I need someone who does not already have a shotgun to use, to shoot the FN. I am going to the Blue Ridge Mountain 3-gun shoot later this month and I am bringing both shotguns, I only have the time to run one of them through an entire match, I am looking for someone to run the other one. That way I will know that both of them are good to go.
Let me know if you may be interested. |

Me and a buddy were first time observers at the last match and we will be first time shooters at this match. How many rounds of pistol, rifle and shotgun ammo will be needed?
I have a shotgun but it's only a mossberg 500. If you dont find any takers without shotguns to run your FN I might be willing to help you out. I will be doing alot of loading with that 500. Jon |

Stainless 10FP, I hope you and your buddy enjoyed watching the match. Shooting it will get you hooked.
Bring 100 rifle, 100 shotgun (trap loads will work, like the Walmart valuepacks), 100 handgun, and 10 slugs. You should have a lot left over (unless you miss a lot |
| Do you have to use the same rifle for all stages? Reason i ask is I would like to run my PC9 on the shorter stages (under 100 yds) and my AR on the longer ones. Not a problem if I can't but i just want to give the PC9 a workout and see just how well it will do. I already know it is not much good after 100 yards. |

Sign in starts at 0900 hrs. I am going to be there at around 0800 hrs. to help the crew set up. I think they sometimes get overworked and could use the help.
No limit as to how much your shotgun can hold, in either of the tactical divisions or heavy metal you start with 8 in the tube and one in the chamber (8+1), for open I think it is 10+1. |

3-gun is a shooting competition using handgun, shotgun, and rifle. It is more of an action orientated sport where the shots may not be overly difficult (particularily for those from a Bullseye or Long Range Rifle background), but they are made more difficult by the positions you will be forced to shoot from, or targets that allow the opportunity to be engaged while you are on the move. To better learn more about starting in the sport go to www.3gunrules.com. There is a section "How to get started" that explains everything pretty well. It will also give you some other web sites to take a look at that can help you even more. The shoot we had yesterday was a blast. Five stages - two shotgun only, one pistol only, one using all three, and one using pistol and rifle. For me, the hardest stage was the rifle pistol stage that had you starting in a shooting box, and using your rifle unsupported (standing) and engaging ten steel targets (8" plates) at 100 yrds. The shots didn't seem very difficult until you got to the last few targets, by then the rifle seemed to be "vibrating" all over the place. You then ran forward while engaging five more cardboard targets at 15 - 25 yrds. with two rounds each. You then cleared your rifle and left it in a secure box, then took the handgun and engaged fourteen more targes with two rounds each from 10 - 25 yrds. The handgun targets would have been much easier if Big Jon hadn't plastered "no-shoot" targets all around. If you get a chance to come out next month to watch, I think you will enjoy it. And while you are coming out to watch, you might as well bring some guns along and shoot. I think almost half of the shooters at the last match were either new, or had only done this a couple of times. |

Payne is right! This was my third time and i had a blast, even remembered to pump my 870 this time. Brought my daughters boyfriend with for his 1st 3 Gun, let him borrow a pistol and we shared my AR. Today he sent me an email and asked if was normal to keep hearing the steel targets "ping" in your dreams all night Guess he had a good time! Cleaning all the weapons now so they will be ready for the Zombie Shoot this Saturday .
Also a special Thanks to all the Guys and Gals that make everyone feel welcome and help out with free and easy tips. A special THANKS to Big John for being our RO Sunday and also setting up a fun and exciting course to shoot. If your in doubt come out and give it a look-see, but bring your shooters because it is way more fun joining in . Ken |
