Anyone know what is going on with Shea and Inrange? He is only open half days on the weekends. No weekdays and still no one answers the phones or calls you back if you leave a message. I had heard the Shea turned out okay after that little misshap in the law. Most of it blowen way out of proportion! He is a great guy and has a great Range!!!
Anyone have any new real news on this subject?

How is it that this "great guy " was found in possession of 43g of methamphetamine? And how is that blown out of proportion? I know it's supposed to be innocent until proven guilty but If the the cops say they found meth at his house and business I don't think he could have some legitimate excuse for it.

Reporting that he was found in possession of 43g of meth is not my opinion. If I am wrong you may correct me. Don't get me wrong, I know people that have had drug problems, but when they were on meth I would not have considered them great people. If he was dealing meth( 43g is a big amount for a junkie to have, and most dealers also use, or most users claim to deal) he is even more of a scum bag. He only makes the rest of us look bad. For all  I care he can fade into history like the ass-hat who owned Armored Fire.

It sounds like you have some personal connection with this guy. Why don't you tell us whats really going on.

Drugs and firearms should not mix.  This sort of thing gives legal firearms owners a bad name and antis a lot of ammo in their "bandemonium" ways.  Same as the "armored fire" incident.  I'm sure Pablo Escobar was a nice enough guy, too, if you met him on a good day.

No clue. I haven't heard anything.

It sounds like you've heard more than we've heard, so if you're privvy to info relating to the status of the charges, etc, spill it. That PriSim system looked awesome, so if he's still open, I'm interested in going.

Here's something from late March...

Pedersen case moving forward
By Chris Detloff
(Created: Thursday, March 27, 2008 9:21 AM CDT)

District 10 Judge Michelle Ann Larkin set a pre-trial date of April 28 for Jessica Pedersen while continuing Shea Pedersen’s omnibus hearing to April 7 during the duo’s scheduled appearances in Wright County District Court early Wednesday afternoon.

Jessica Pedersen, 32, is currently facing one count of negligent storage of a loaded firearm within access of children while Shea Pedersen, 32, is currently facing one count of first-degree drug distribution, one count of first-degree drug possession and one count of storage of meth paraphernalia in the presence of children after authorities found drugs and drug paraphernalia in the couple’s Monticello home and business Feb. 21.

Jessica Pedersen is expected to enter a plea of not guilty at her pre-trial in late April, defense attorney Stephen Conroy said Wednesday. Although originally charged with fifth-degree drug possession and storage of meth paraphernalia in the presence of children, she later had her charges amended after authorities re-examined her role in the crimes.

Speaking to prosecuting attorney Brian Lutes prior to Jessica Pedersen’s appearance Wednesday, Conroy noted that the loaded firearm was discovered by authorities on top of a refrigerator in the couple’s home out of reach of their three children, ages 6, 4 and 3. Conroy also told Lutes that “the kids didn’t know (the firearm) was stored there.”

Pedersen’s husband, Shea, was not in court Wednesday due to his current inpatient status at the Hazelden drug and alcohol treatment facility in Center City, Minn. He is expected to be released March 28, Conroy said.

Although Conroy currently serves as defense attorney to both Pedersens, he told Larkin in court Wednesday that he would likely advise Shea Pedersen to seek a different attorney prior to his April 7 appearance, citing a “conflict of interest by representing both.”

Shea Pedersen is facing maximum sentences of 30 years in prison, $1 million or both on his first-degree distribution charge, 30 years in prison, $1 million or both on his first-degree possession charge and five years in prison, $10,000 or both on his charge of storage of meth paraphernalia in the presence of children.

Jessica Pedersen’s charge of negligent storage of a loaded firearm within access of children carries with it a maximum sentence of one year in jail, monetary fines or both.

Yeah, I mean, who doesn't have loaded guns, enough meth to distribute and meth paraphernalia laying around where your 3 children live?  It's not like 3-6 year olds are curious or anything...

Clearly this guy is a victim of the police

Couple interesting things to read into:

1) Shea couldn't be at trial because he was at Hazelden. He was obviously getting rehabbed off of something, so we know he was using. Maybe the dealing is the part that they are claiming is "overblown". Maybe he was stockpiling for SHTF.
2) Wife's lawyer is dropping Shea because of "conflict of interest" means that her defense involves putting blame/responsibility on him.

Granted this story is old and they have both had court appearances since then, but like everybody said when this story broke: This doesn't look good.

On one hand, I want to shoot the PriSim while it's still open. On the other hand, I don't want to be anywhere near a situation like that.
