i picked up a colt mustang today....i have had a few of these over the years... my problem is the safety stop wont stay up in the hammer back position..is there a certin position the hammer has to be in when i put the safety switch back in?????none of the parts look worn and the colt has not had alot of rounds thru it...any help would be appriciated....

i figured it out...it is missing the safety plunger and safety plunger spring....

anyone know anyone local shop that might have these.....

your best advice would be to dispose of it immediately.  I will take it off your hands!

thanks RN on the brownells tip.....got my part from them today already installed...again i have now a fully functional colt mustang....

$300.00 for gun(best deal i have got in years)
$20.00 for new part

total $320.00 like new colt mustang.....gotta love it.....my new summertime CCW tool...
