I walked 3 miles last night in 35 minutes, I try and do it every night. When I returned my belaclava had frost from mouth to forehead. Woke up this morning and jumped the little ladys........................................................
car.

I honestly can not remember cold like this and I have lived here 38 years.

May have been, but being out in it last night I could not remember it feeling so cold. The temp was a little nippy but that wind tore at the soul.

You're RIGHT.  Read my post below (or more particularly, check the first graph from NASA)...  You'll see that in 96/97 the Sunspot Count was bottomed out THEN as well!

Kind of a reposting, but IMHO, we had -16 DEGREES F LAST NIGHT!!!!  -35 Degree Wind Chills This Morning!  F(_)CKING COLD AS HELL TODAY!

IT HAS TO BE 'CLIMATE CHANGE'!!!

Could it BE!?!?!?

That they're hyping this shit up because the REAL reason for 'CLIMATE CHANGE' is the SUN, and they want to blame it on Americans???

Sorry, Al Whore, but According to NASA, the current heat trends are dependent upon SOLAR FLARES, and SUNSPOT COUNTS.  NASA is telling us that humans have a MINISCULE EFFECT upon the Global climate (but do have a regional effect) when compared to the effect the SUN has on our planet.

Think of it.  If there's ONE THING in our solar system that can have a major effect on our planet's climate - it's the sun...  According to NASA, it's more particularly the Solar Flares, and Sunspot Count.  The more sun spots, the hotter we're going to be, and the Sunspot Count has a semi-predictable pattern of repetition.

How does that affect us?  Well, in 2008, we're down below 50 sunspots again, and we'll possibly stay there until about mid-to-late 2009!!!

Meaning COLDER TEMPERATURES, and a LONGER WINTER this year...

Look what the predictions were in 98 when this 'Global Warming' crap started to REALLY hype up in the media...  GEE, I think I see the SUNSPOT COUNT CLIMBING!

(Sunspot Cycle Prediction from 1998)

OMG!  IT HAS TO BE GLOBAL WARMING!  IT'S AMERICA'S FAULT!

FAST FORWARD TO 2007/2008.  NASA says that the sunspot count is below 50 now, so we're going to see COLDER WINTERS for a while...

Look at the CURRENT sunspot count levels & future predictions:

-20 Deg F!?!?!?  OMG!  (How do we blame this on Americans??)  IT HAS TO BE 'CLIMATE CHANGE'!!!  IT'S AMERICA'S FAULT!!1!!SHIFTONE!1

Honestly, it's the SUN'S FAULT, and the impact humans have on the Ozone Layer, and 'Global Warming' is MINISCULE compared to the power of the sun, and the SOLAR FLARES that accompany higher sunspot counts!

*YES* People (and cattle) are abusing this planet, deteriorating the Ozone, wasting our precious water supply with shoddy/failing civil infrastructure & insustainable irrigation practices in 3rd world countries...  YES, that all has a negative impact upon our planet, but mostly on a REGIONAL scale.

GLOBALLY Speaking, the Sun's impact still reigns supreme - NASA is saying this, and the MEDIA is still too busy spouting off AL Gorisms every single day.

The LEFTIST MEDIA isn't publishing ANY of this information from NASA, and is continuing to push this 'CLIMATE CHANGE' / 'GLOBAL WARMING' crap!

Come 2009/2010 things are going to heat up EVEN MORE here on Earth, and GLOBAL WARMING WILL HAVE NOT A F(_)CKING THING TO DO WITH IT!!! - But the MEDIA doesn't want the General Sheeple populace to know that.  It has to be 'our fault' so we can further 'justify' empowering our massive government even more.

Notice also, NASA is predicting another freezing cold winter in 2016 or 2018, and a higher/hotter 'solar peak' during 2011/2012 (Which will likely be blamed on 'Global Warming' and America).

What year was it that they recalculated the way wind chill was determined, went something like -50 was now -30? I remember reading about it, but in my progressing years forgot.

I remember an actual temp of -40 and windchill of more than -60. I don't remember what year it was, but it was in the mid 90's while I was still in high school. I bundled up, covering every inch of skin and went out to get the mail, just to say I had gone out in it.

I remember that, too.  I went for a run for a couple of miles that morning.  I would have gone the full distance except that I had to give my wife a ride to work because her car froze up at work.  Luckily a couple of the mechanics helped her get it started later that day.

Technically, my degree is a Bachelor of ENVIRONMENTAL DESIGN (B.E.D. - that's right ladies, a BED Degree ) in Landscape Architecture.

(But I also took plenty of Astronomy classes for extra science credits after I finished a sizable chunk of Physics courses).

I thoroughly enjoyed exposing the baseless spouted off by Alarmist Hippy environmentalists that would come in to 'Guest Lecture' (aka Indoctrinate) us from time to time.  I managed to even change several minds on the matter by having them QUESTION some of the so-called 'authorities' on the subject.

It's TRUE that Humans DO have somewhat of a negative impact upon our planet, but it's mostly a REGIONAL impact.  Like most of the OZone issue is mostly from the Commifornistan populace.  The African nations wasting the only primary drinking water resources within a 1000 mile area with poor agricultural irrigation practices (doesn't affect ME much), and for the most part, the US isn't as bad as much of the cattle farming in South America for Methane production, etc...

Fact is those impacts are mostly Regional.  The Primary cause for 'Climate Change' IS, and HAS ALWAYS BEEN the Sun.  Nothing else in this solar system (aside from a major Asteroid/Comet Collision) has the ability to significantly change our planet so it is unlivable for mankind.  The *ONLY* manmade thing that could affect us so horribly is an all-out prolonged nuclear apocalypse.

Most everything else is just over-hyped regional problems that impact regional environments.

+1! I went out the other night and considered throwing my glass of Crown Royal up into the air to see if it would freeze before it hit the frozen ground...Ah, no...I didn't want to have to suck it back out of the snow bank. But the cheap vodka froze!!

I'm not one of those who own their own company, so I can't exactly get away with on the job...

And if I DID own my own company, I'm afraid I'd make some horrifically bad decisions which would likely jeopardize my company and career pretty darn quick.
