lets see if this works...ive never loaded my own video before. me and the woman went up north this weekend, out four wheeling we saw these two little pests known as porcupines up in a tree. ive shot 15 up there before. they eat the bark off the trees which sometimes kills the trees. so i let the woman shoot the big one, then i shot one just behind it which you cant see on here... enjoy! www.youtube.com/watch?v=wKCfhh3dyBo breakfast pic! www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=1&f=5&t=621665&page=1-1 |
tough crowd to answer your ? i am in the tree business, it only seems right that i save the trees! i did roll them both over so SOMETHING could eat them. every one ive ever shot has been eaten afterwards. something picks them clean, leaves nothing but a spine and quills. so, if it werent for me, something else could have starved to death. oh, and i definantly got my jollies out of it. |
I guess I'll be one of the tough crowd too. I was thinking the same thing as Dave but didn't post it. |
Just because we are concerned about #3, "know your target and what is beyond" does not make us liberals. It's one of the most common causes of firearms "accidents and should not be ignored. In fact, liberals might point to this thread and say: "SEE! This guy is unsafe with his firearms, we need to BAN THEM ALL!" I'm glad you checked your backstop before shooting and that you were 100% sure there was no one back there that could be injured or killed. Nevertheless, your GF did a nice job. |
eh.. the direction she aimed in has about 1500 acres of woods, mostly potlach land, swamps, then cornfields, from where we were standing its about 25 miles of almost nothing til you get to bemidji. i was just joking about the liberals thing |

Good shot! We killed a sticklepig tonight while grouse hunting. Never fun with a 20ga (just not enough!), but needed to be done on a tree farm. This particular one had been ringing valuable jackpines the last couple years. I don't like to kill animals just to kill things, but pull quills out of your dog twice (some dogs don't learn) and you will be a porky-slayer for life.
