just wondering if any members here work at a business that distributes flyers or can reccommend someone good who does. i have put out flyers with the Star Tribune in the past... 10,000 of them in newspapers and mailboxes for $530 and wasnt satisfied with the call return. so im looking for other options and at a lower cost. id like to target a specific area, basically my zipcode. this is for my tree removal business. thanks |

Check the local paper. Around here it's ECM publishing and they have the Anoka Shopper, Elk River Star, Scotsman, etc. All are smaller more targeted small paper, but they deliver in the junk mail box. It's better to deliver to the mail box, which requires postage. Try to find a couple of other businesses, perhaps a sider, roofer, HVAC, and split a full page flyer between you. That way your cost is shared by thirds, or quarters, then direct mail to your desired zip codes. Maybe we can throw a junk car ad on your flyer even.... |
| As long as the customer only has to flip the page over, that would be OK. If they have to unfold it, they will just throw it away. I'm OK with Black and white or some color. When are you thinking of doing it? Anytime in the next month would be perfect for me, although all season will work. |

not sure when i plan on doing the flyers... right now im trying to set up the website sometime today, so theres $$$ id like to find a company who will send out the flyers for under $500 and im still checking around... when i used Star Tribune they just cost too damn much! |
| Try calling Great River Printing, I believe it is, in Elk River. I have used them in the past and et good deals on biz cards, post cards, etc. I know they do mass mailings, as I was in there this morning and the printer was firing off labels. Perhaps get a corporate sponsor with just a logo in the corner. The more people involved, the less your cost so long as you are willing to manage it. |
